The Telematics Lab in the Department of Industrial Informatics of T.E.I Kavalas is involved for the past fifteen months, in an ongoing project of creating educational applications that can be used on the OLPC laptop (better known as the XO laptop).

These applcations are developed by the students of the Telematics Lab using the Squeak Etoys platform which they familiarize themselves with during the semester. The Etoys platform is open source and can be used to create simple interactive multimedia applications.

The basic idea for creating these applications is the visualization of lesson units from the teaching material of Primary and Secondary Education Level on Physics. Until now, a hundred of selected applications are available which can be seen and downloaded from the following URL:
