What do you know about the quality of the software you are using? A well-known conjecture in modern software engineering is that external quality characteristics are correlated to internal quality characteristics and thus the measurement of source code and the process that produced it provides useful data for the assessment of its quality. The Alitheia tool, developed by the SQO-OSS project (http://www.sqo-oss.eu), leverages existing and custom developed quality evaluation tools as plug-ins to an integrated quality assessment platform. The tool incorporates a project's software repository, mailing lists and bug management database and evaluates its quality in real-time by analysing the activity in each one of the incorporated resources. The core platform, an array of quality evaluation plug-ins and the Alitheia Eclipse connector will be released as open source software under the BSD licence.

In our presentation, we will go through the system's architecture and basic functionality and give examples of how the system can become a core component in the support infrastructure for modern software development teams.
