European public administrations were among the early users of Free and Open Source Software. The European Commission initiates, sponsors and manages projects that further OSS and deal with the benefits of using OSS for the Information Society. The presentation gives an overview about ongoing activities. A special emphasis lies on the European Open
Source Observatory and Repository (OSOR) that is about to be launched. |
